I do bid on things and I hate snipers. There is nothing worse than watching the laast few seconds of an auction and having someone come in and snipe it for a few dollars more. I would be more than willing to add another bid. What's a few dollars when it's something you really want and it's already over $100?
I know you're going to say put your final price higher. I do that too for many things, but it's hard to say what price to set that at, especially for chips. The values are highly speculative. Many times I've put what I thought was a high final price only to have it blown away in the last few minutes. other times I've put a high price and it's stayed low.
That has always been my biggest complaint about ebay is that it is nothing like an auction house. Now items have a better chance of getting their true value. And let's face it, who really wants to sit and wait for 5 or 7 days for an auction to end? Maybe know they'll put reasonable times on the lenght, too.
I think some items will go cheaper without the last minute sniping, but I think many items will go higher.
