Last year before the Crystal Park show in Compton, I displayed 1200+ Calif chips in the foyer of the casino and it will remain there until Dec. 1 of this year when it will be delivered to a buyer in Minnesota that saw it during the show. I believe it is the largest number of Calif chips ever on display and may not be seen again since it will be delivered to Minn. at the end of the year. .....Come to Mundings show Aug. 11-12 for a final viewing and chip show.
Armin is still working on additions to our Calif. Catalog which has been out of print for about a year now, but should be ready by the Convention with 5000+ listings. And that is not even half of what we believe Calif.has seen in gaminbg chips since the total issued, including the ivories, probably number over 12,000 different chips. Most Calif. Clubs has short lives with competition always being created as the population grew. Now, with full gaming and Nevada interests supporting the Indians (age limit now under 18!!!! bad); the sky is the limit and I am fearful the gaming pendulum has swung right off the charts...when it swings back, we (you..not me...tooo old) may experience increasing prohibitions of gaming and in 30 years it may well be limited back to just Nevada and AC....maybe.....and chips will be memorabilia of the "good old days of gambling" back in 2000
