The Fair Grounds are located in the older part of Roseville. There are a bunch of newer hotels about 3 miles away near I-80. The closest Indian Casino is Thunder Valley - about 6 miles from the Fair Grounds - but they do not have a hotel and do not spread poker - they do have about 2,000 slots and 100 tables of BJ, Baccarat, three card poker, Pia Gou and etc. Great food too. The closest Indian casino's with hotels is Jackson Rancharia of Colusa Casino - both better than an hour away. There are two card clubs - Lucky Derby and Phoenix Card Room - it is probably about 15 miles to each. You can proably drop Paul Sax a note to get the real low down on them.
