I notice that Lake of the Torches entry in Greg's Chip Guide doesn't have an opening date. I came across this history page on their web site with some dates. I also noticed that the link to the casino website on Chip Guide is incorrect.

Does anyone know whether the inlay-chips with the pic of the indian drum and the tribal name "Lac du Flambeau Tribe" are first issue chips and whether they were used at the grocery store in town or at the new casino? That would help date them as 1989 or 1996. The pic of the dollar chip below is from Greg's site.
