Thanks, I am familiar with spinrite. I have been a fan of Steve Gibson for many many years now. Problem is, this drive is completely inaccessible. It won't even keep spinning.

I think they will have to locate a matching drive, and swap the platters to recover this one. This is the first time I've ever had a drive go this bad.
