Re: 'Elected' officers
In Response To: 'Elected' officers ()

What you are suggesting (write-in) would require a proposed Constitutional change to be voted on by the membership. One needs to be nominated and receive a second in order to be placed on the ballot. There were a few additiohal candidates who received a nomination and a second ... but withdrew their name... so writing in their name is meaningless.

Here is the current Constitution language;

ARTICLE FOUR

Section 1

The Club shall be governed by a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and a Membership Officer.

Section 2

A Board of Directors will be comprised of the five (5) Club officers.

Section 3

A) The President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Membership Officer will be elected for a two year term in each year ending in an odd number.

B) Nominations for officers shall be called for by written notification to all members in good standing not later than 180 days prior to the Club's next annual meeting in an election year. In order for a potential candidate to be declared an official nominee in any club election for office, the candidate must receive the equivalent of a nomination and a second in order to be listed on the official ballot as a valid candidate. To accomplish this requirement, a candidate must receive a minimum of two nominations.

C) Election ballots will be mailed to each member in good standing not later than 30 days prior to an election, and shall specify the procedure for casting ballots in advance of the annual meeting.
