...I've been meaning to congratulate you on your performance in this week's The Chip Board Road To The World Series poker tournament.

When you played in your first one a couple of weeks ago you finished in second to last place and while you were kibbitzing after your untimely, yet not undeserved, elimination you mentioned that you were going to practice and do better in your next attempt, at which point I made a wise crack to the effect that I expected you to come in LAST in your next tournament.

Well, I must offer you an apology as you certainly proved me WRONG this past week. Somehow, Jim Whobrey managed to get himself eliminated before you and you finished in second to last place yet again. While that does not indicate any marked improvement in your game, it does, however, suggest consistency which (eventually) will be a good thing (maybe.)

I hope you keep working on your game if for no other reason than to prove to me and Ross that your final table appearance at the Binions tournament was not the fluke it now appears to be.

Now, let's see if you can climb out of the bottom TWO this next week. You know I'll be rooting for you!
