While I support Joe's opponent, I think it is reprehensible that false posts in his name are being placed on this board. I would very much like to know who the person who did it was (if in fact it was a false post which it appears to be).

If any member of the CCGTCC posted this, or any other false post with the intent of causing harm to another, they should have their membership cancelled.

While I don't support his candidacy, I respect the fact that he chose to run. I am disappointed that so many people (many who I know to be of good character otherwise) have been downright nasty. People complain about negative politics, yet even in something like a hobby club election, normally decent, intelligent, hardworking adults become mudders, and behave in a manner we would be horrified to see in our children.

Why would anybody want to subject themselves to this type of abuse for the joy of being the person who gets all the complaints, long hours and headaches. I appreciate the fact that there are good people willing to do the jobs. I'm not sure I would be willing to subject myself to the slings and arrows. I hate to imagine the things that would be said about me.

I find it unlikely that any substancial number of members rationally or reasonably believed that Joe would be elected. The fact that there are two extremely well qualified persons running for Secretary only insures Joe's defeat. If there had not been such a race, then there would have been the potential for a lack of interest, and hence a lack of voting, which could have played in Joe's favor.

Yet, he continued on, and has been rewarded with horribly cruel accusations, and belittled by people who then claim to really be his friend.

Joe- I am not voting for you. I don't agree with many of the positions you have taken, or been attached to you. I think I have been honest with you about that. But if I have played any part in any of the nasty comments or jokes, or done anything hurtful to you, I hope you will forgive me.
