My point is a member may endorse or support any candidate they wish, in any manner they wish, as long as they do so in a manner that is consistent with the law, and as it relates to club members, consistent with club rules.
The rules governing the club, especially the ethical rules, bind club members regardless of where or in what circumstances the member finds themselves. If somebody were to behave in a manner which violates rules of conduct that a member has agreed to abide by (which they do in becoming a member) they would be subject to loss of their membership. It would not matter whether that behavior occurred on the club board, this board, the convention, on ebay, or at a roller derby match.
That is my point.
