I just spent an interesting half hour looking through the
Delorean Owners Asso. web site. No direct reference to chips
but they say they had at least 4 Las Vegas Weekends #4 being
in 1987. They also had Expos in Las Vegas 1984,1985,1986,1987,
1988,1991 and 1995. They are due back in LV in 2000 at the Rio.

They list the officers that started the club back in 1983/84 and
the current board, it has some of the same people so you should be able
