Found this totally awsome virtual aerial map of Las Vegas. Not only can you see where the casinos are, but you can actually look at the buildings! Didn't see any balconies at the Riv but I swear that was my car parked up on the roof level of the garage and I'm positive that I could see Doug "Cigarman" Smith walking over to the Peppermill! Here's a great long URL to the rig: http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=36.099667~-115.175631&style=o&lvl=1&scene=294765&vendor=google&pkw=ContentNetwork|598481731
Since the goofy thing is soo long, you may need to copy and paste the thingie rather than merely click the silly thing. Once you get it up you can take a bird's eye tour of the strip, zoom in and out as well as changing your orientation (uh, change your orientation viewwise that is, you'll remain a chipper as before).
Found this Maps.Live.Com gadget through "Vegas Today and Tomorrow" at http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/index.htm Click around through the maps to find this one if your copy and paste won't bring it up.
