The scanner I use currently sells for $49 at Circuit City unless you buy a system then it is free. It sounds like a lot of people have trouble with their HP scanners. My Mustek scanner is easy and cheap. It won't work good for the baby pictures but some 3-D items like ashtrays can be scanned with reasonable sucess.
