Don:
I already did during the months just after the boat sank! The boat sailed for one month and during that month they sailed 39 times before they sank. I only know of three collectors who were on the boat during those 39 sailings. John Benidict, Bob Ginsburg (before I started sailing along with him) and myself. There was eight chips, between the three of us we could account for at that time (including those that turned up in the secondary market). If many collectors like John stated do not understand that there were two boats (the Club Royale and the Club Royale II), the first sinking and the second having the entire rack sold into the chip market, many who collect $2.50's may never have seen a Club Royale chip from the original boat! For the longest time I thought I had the only $100 chip off the boat because I was taking one off the photograph it. I know of two others that turned up. General players on a day cruise ships do not walk with chips as it is not easy to cash them in at a later time because the ships constantly change ports and unless you are playing BJ and walked with a $2.50 during one of those 39 sailings it would be rarer the a $100!
