Two sevens on the flop and we all check it. I bluffed at the turn and he called me - so he played it just like most people would if they had a seven (slow play flop). So I figured he had a seven...
I catch my miracle card on the river giving me the straight with no flush possible. I put him on a seven and check it to him hoping he'd bet.
He did bet $1k and and I popped him back another $1k. That's where I made my mistake, this was an unraised pot so he could have anything with that 7 to boat up. So I should have just called the $1k bet instead of re-raising him.
That's poker and I guess I learned something new today! Don't go all-in and broke in a un-raised pot and if 7-2 is good enough to beat you, don't call an all-in with in unraised pot!
Turned out he had 33 and flopped boat with 773 flop. But still, I didn't play it too smart.
