Tonight’s selection is from the ODD CONTRAPTION category. It is a 1972 issue Nepal 1 Rupee.
The Kingdom of Nepal is the world's ONLY Hindu kingdom, it is a landlocked country located in central Asia among the southern Himalayan Mountain range. (Front) King Mahendra Vira Vikama wearing a military uniform and cap. (Back) Coat of arms and a 4 chair odd rotary device like a Ferris Wheel with 4 men sitting on it and no sign of motivation. Nepal was so proud of this contraption they featured it on their currency. Anyone care to venture a guess as to what this is? I have never found any info on this. The note has no UV markings, has a security thread and the watermark is a headdress. It is UNCirculated and carrys a $1.75 book value. ENJOY!
