Hey Jim,
At home I have a Dell and a HP ScanJet IIcx (SCSI) and it was a snap to get working. All I did was add the SCSI Card and plug in the SCSI cables and power cord, install the software and I was up and running.
I've even moved the scanner to a newer Dell (still a few years old...) and have added more SCSI devices. These include a 100 Mbyte ZIP, Phillips OmniWritter CD-WR Writer, and an Iomega Buzz Video Capture (with it's own SCSI Card). All have not caused me to have any problems. I first started using the scanner with WIN 3.1, then WIN95 and now WIN98. I upgraded to WIN98 when I was having some problems getting WIN95 Ver B to accept a USB card. This after helping my father-in-law with his WIN95 Ver B and UB Card - and his worked the first time!!! Anyway the USB is for a digital Microscope (10x, 60x and 200x) also twain compliant and works great with Photoshop!!!
All are working just fine!
Why do you ask?
Regards,
Dick
