If you have all three and the time (sometime) can you measure the diameters? Of course doing so with better conditioned chips is more usefull.

Perhaps others can do this as well. In the absence of a micrometer or other similar tool, I noticed this size variation when the two chips were side-by-side in a chip rack. They sat in the trough at different heights.
