...if a chip is no longer used in the casino, it goes into the obsolete chips section of my collection. If that same chip ever goes back into use in the casino, I then place it back into the current chips section of my collection. That has not happened too often in the almost 12 years that I have been collecting.

Now, nobody had to agree with how I do this. But, it works for me & I won't be changing it anytime soon. Andy - Las Vegas
