For a place that was around for as long as Harolds Club was there sure aren't many $1 chips known. Even stranger, all the older ones can be found Unused. I suspect there's something we don't know about Harolds Club history.
Anyway, I finally got the last major known chip for my collection and thought I'd show these six chips on the bb. Harold Sr's chip is the Key.
Missing from this pic is a "paste-on" prototype that I've never seen, there's the "concentric circles" version of the last issue that I haven't run across, and there is a chip attributed to Fred Beck when he leased space at Harolds... a turquoise LGCRWN hot-stamped "FAB". Has anyone seen this chip? I'd like to find one.
The black chip with 2 white spots is attributed to Harolds Club, and possibly was used at Harolds Gun Club at Pyramid Lake. It's very common and I have a feeling it is really from somewhere else.
Any comments or specific knowledge of the Harolds chips is welcome, as I collect all their chips, even the several hundred different roulettes that seem to have survived.
