I don’t disagree with anything you say. No question, the ability to inspect a chip before the hammer goes down is worth a premium.
Yes, Doug’s auctions bring considerably higher prices than eBay. I should know as I have been an active bidder and paid those prices.
As for the shows, yes, the prices the dealers ask are considerably higher than those prices realized on eBay. Perhaps that’s the reason those dealers are still sitting with them?
I’m just speaking for me now; as far as I’m concerned, I have set-up at shows for three years now; I think my time spent, and net results are better on eBay or direct private sales.
Anyway, thank you for your kind compliments about my chips. And I appreciate the past business we have done on both the buy and sell side together.
