I play a home poker game with some guys for very low stakes. We have a set of non-demon poker chips and we constantly struggle with using 5c, 10c and 25c chips, or to mix it up a bit, we play 12.5c, 25c, 50c. Some of you may raise your eyebrows at a 12.5 cent chip (aka one bit), but I think the idea of a 12.5 cent chip has merit.
Anyone else out there use 12.5c chips in your home game. Were there many 12.5 cent chips ever used in a casino?
There used to be 12.5 cent (one bit) used in real money way back when, so why not use this denom in poker games? Saves you from having to stock a ton of 5c and 10c chips.
I'm thinking about getting a custom 12.5c chip made by Nevada Jacks to go along with my low denom Desert Sands ceramic chips that they make.
Who else here uses 12.5c chips in your games?
