I have a Visioneer One Touch scanner at our condo in A.C. that I use frequently ... and am very satisfied with the results. The Cannon LiDE scanner I have here in Brick sucks !
It does not reproduce the florescent colors accurately and leaves a dark background behind chip scans instead of white ... even when I put a pillow over the scanner cover which has a white underside.

When I contacted Cannon tech support about the problem, their response what that the model I have is designed for flat documents only, not 3-D objects, such as casino chips.
