Eugene, I have written a few comps in my life in the casino industry. The general rule for writing comps is to evaluate the player's average bet (very subjective at times) and time played (of course the computer program for players rating system would do all of the calculations for us)and decide if a comp is warranted. Of course, one exception is if you beat them over the head at the tables or slots it won't matter how long you played or what your average bet was, they WILL take care of you! Some casinos are more liberal than others. Sometimes getting a comp depends on how badly they want you to return to their property. The longer you give the casino a chance to beat you the more they like you. I wouldn't go into a casino with the thought of "how am I going to get the most out of this casino". Go in, identify yourself, be sure you are being rated, and then let the chips (comps) fall where they may. Sucking up to a Pit Boss or Floor Supervisor may help but I wouldn't bank on it. Enjoy, Chuck T.
