I see we are in the midst of another round of derogatory comments by person or persons who feel that they are not appreciated by the 'powers that be'. Normally I am a fan of the people who challenge the status quo. I often find myself filling that roll when I appear on behalf of clients.

But the challengers that have my respect are the ones who see a wrong (big or small) and seek to correct it. They do this by bringing rational and resonable discussion to bear on the issue. They dio not sink to the level of calling names, or making threats, or generally behaving like a juvenile delinquent.

Furthermore, they do not whine when alternate views or defenses of the percieved wrong are expressed. I also weigh the message by the messenger. A person's credibility is based upon how they have behaved in the past. If a person is fast and loose with the truth, or tenders excuses rather than except responsibility, then they lose credibility.

A person who makes comments that have no relevance to the subject just to 'stir things up' has no value. I am a fan of humor, and that includes good natured jabs at friends. But when things are said to be mean, or to entertain the speaker (or poster) at the expense of another, then that speaker has less than no value.

In the last few days, I heard a reference to the 'Big Four'. Somebody, in an effort to lighten the discussion, said they were talking about me. I am a big dude, and was more than happy to drag the bus (another big dude with a wonderful ability to laugh at himself) into it.

But now I have reached the point where the continued references to the click have made me want to know, who are the click. The label gets applied to far to many folks to qualify as a click. I also see that various folks who get slapped with that label are not part of the same social groups that others are part of.

The click mentality seems a bit Junior High School to me, but I am willing to consider any information in judging the people I deal with.

So I ask...

Who are the BIG FOUR?

Who are the ten referenced in a post earlier today?

Who are involved in the click (please be all inclusive-I wish to know who exactly are members of this click).

For extra credit, what is the nefarious goals of this conspiracy?

So here is the opportunity for those that wish to tilt at windmills to stand up, speak out, and unmask. When that is done, perhaps we can re-dedicate ourselves to engaging in a hobby we all profess to enjoy in a respectful, friendly, and responsible manner. I also hope we can behave like adults and share our views in a reasoned and rational manner, and show respect for the views that may be contrary to our own.
