Paper 2X2 coin envelopes work well for holding many small items, including casino tokens & checks/chips, coins, clothing buttons, political buttons/tabs, & dog tags. Yes, you have to take them out to look at them, but I have not had any bleeding, or other condition problems with them & they are multi-purpose, as far as I am concerned. They cost about $22-25/1000 & they come in various colors (which could be used to code/identify the type of collectible being stored) & are easily stored in many types of inexpensive storage containers.
