I bet if you added up ALL the non-reimbursed expenses any Board Member spends in a given year (for a non-paying position), you will find they spend way more than the cost of a free room during the convention. The time spent on club matters alone - whether taken from their everyday job, or family, and what-not - must be tremendous.
