Some casinos care and some don't. Problem is knowing which are which. One quick story. I asked a floor supervisor I know if I can have a set of roulette chips. The answer was I can't give them to you, but go play and take what you want.
OK another story. A pit supervisor who knows I collect chips asked me if I wanted a set of roulette chips. I said no thanks I already have them.
