I would expect to see HIGHER prices for many things, chips being one of them. How many people are reluctant to bid against a friend and fellow collector? Not a problem anymore. The more specialized the collecting involved, the more likely this is to be a factor.

Sometimes bidders will even contact each other, and agree not to bid against each other and then they split the chips. Sort of the opposite of shill bidding. This is really not fair to the seller, so at least something good could come from the change. Sure hope ebay has a plan for spotting shill bidders though!
