I'm the guy who bought the chip on Ebay. But, since the seller - Jim Follis(and his wife) are wonderful and generous, they had refunded to me a portion of the sales price once it became evident that the chip was not as rare as previously thought.

The way I look at these situations is that I am willing to pay a higher price rather than take the chance of not acquiring a chip. I had no expectation of a refund. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes not.
