a) Bring a list of the chips you have (with thorough descriptions.) The convention floor can be so overwhelming that your brain will fry quickly, your memory will no longer function, and you'll wind up buying chips you already have.

b) Not really a convention tip, but a tip to all new members: GET YOURSELF A MENTOR. Most gaming memorabilia collectors will tell you they've had a mentor or two and Terry Shaffer has put together a wonderful formal mentoring program, which you can take a look at by clicking the following link:
