That was a typo. My beef is with the mac and word. I use safari and have no problems with them crashing specifically. It doesn't matter if I have several programs or no other programs open. As I said, I use it more than anything else for writing, so the program is almost always open when I'm working on another book. It will be working fine, I'll be typing and it will crash and close. The worst is you know it's about to happen. It pauses and will be about a sentence behind my typing and poof! gone.

Usually, it autosaves it, so I only lose a few words or paragraphs at worst. Another feature that wasn't on the word program I had with my pc.
