... about Tennessee, John. I got the information from a publication that I obtained awhile back from Nevada Gaming (listed the legalized gambling for every state). Can't find it right now, but I specifically recall that the only two absolutely no legal gaming states were Hawaii and Utah.
Perhaps Tennessee (or some counties in Tennessee) permit charitable bingo -- as I recall, that was the most common type of legalized gambling. There are several states where it was the only kind allowed.
My wife was born and raised in Memphis and lived there until I took her away. Her grandfather was not happy that she was marrying a "damn Yankee" and refused to attend our wedding. I will be visiting Memphis sometime during March to see my father-, sister- and brother-in-law. Will probably make a run down to Tunica while I'm there this time.
