The chip on the right is one of the 'in play' Victoria £1's which I have offered many times before, foil center 39mm Bud Jones. One of the styles used to replace the old coin centers which break in the auto sorters. Ive shown it just for comparison.
I found the other two chips while searching through racks at the Victoria cage for other things.
The cage manager informs me that the one on the left was actually a 'first run' B&G sample for the right hand chip. 300 were made and put into play. I found 5 after searching through 10,000 chips He said its likely I will find more on another occasion so Im only going to ask $8 shipped for these. Note that the print on the foil is different than the eventual issued chip and looks a little distorted. All 5 are the same.
The center chip was made at the same time but was never supposed to have been put into play. Its an error as its lacking the 3 small green dashes which apparently the auto-sorter uses to distinguish these from yellow roulette chips.
The cage manager thought all 300 of those had been accounted for and destroyed. I found 3 of them. They were in with old coin chips scheduled for destruction. As they have different edge markings to all the in-play chips, its safe to say there are no more in play, nor am I likely to ever find more. Therefore I want $12 each for these 3, first come first served.
Email me if interested.
