Re: WHAT IS THE SELLING PRICE?????
In Response To: WHAT IS THE SELLING PRICE????? ()

No, it is not a difficult question, just hard to answer. We have turned down an offer of $48,000.00 from a collector in Vancouver. Obviously, we are looking for the best offer. We do not know the value of the set? There are no more of them, the other is in the Truman Library. We have been told it could be worth $100,000, or more, from a reputable collector. The owner has asked me to aggresively seek a buyer for the set, however, not because of a "need to sell" basis. He has worked, as have we, with many others in the Katrina Relief Effort since day one. I feel his thinking is that the funds this set can bring will help bring assistance now, in a small way, to those in need. He is a great, honest man with a heart of gold. Perhaps selling the chips individually is the answer, I truly do not know. The set is available to be seen and inspected immediately as well. Thank you for your interest. Dave
