Thanks, and I was aware of the Treasurer's report. However it makes no mention as to the status of the funds, so it really doesnt help me answer my question at all. Simply being in a "separate account" doesnt really mean much. I am curious as to what exactly this "other" account is.

While I see that I probably should have posted the question on the club board, I didnt think that it would be such a problem since there was so much discussion about it here already. Is there a clear cut way to discern which questions/comments regarding the fund are appropriate for this board and which ones aren't? Please don't take that as being abrasive, but I am just looking for clarification so that I post comments in the appropriate section.
