The Silver Smith and State Line are "sister-casinos" located in Wendover, Nevada, just inside the Utah border. Both casinos have an extremely large and loyal Asian clientele. Since this is the case, the casinos issue Limited Edition chips that are geared to this audience.

Recently, both the State Line and Silver Smith issued two $5 LE's each. The first of the two - "Asian 2000" was issued just before the New Year. Should it be considered a Christmas chip, New Year's chip, or Millennium chip? ...you decide for yourself.

The second chip is a beauty...this year's Chinese New Year chip, the "Year of the Dragon." The casinos issued identical chips except for the respective names on them and the quantity issued. The State Line's issue was 750. The Silver Smith's was a remarkably small 250. This makes this chip by far the shortest $5 Nevada Chinese New Year chip ever issued and one of the shortest $5 LEs ever issued anywhere.
