NEED HELP WITH $500 SILVER CITY CHIP!!!!!

Hello,i just recieved this 1st.issue $500 chip from the SILVER CITY-LAS VEGAS in poor condition.My question is,is this chip still an R-10 and would one in poor condition be of any value.I have a webtv and can't post a photo however i can send a photo.Any help would be appreciated.
