My wife and I went in June. It was beautiful and we can't wait to get back. We stayed at the Intercontinental, which is right next door to the El San Juan. Be sure to get to the Ambassador Casino, downtown, as they have that new rack of chips that you liked.
The El San Juan's casino is quite nice and much better than the Intercontinental.
