This may be a big win for the UCE but if TS closes they will put 5,000 people out of work. The UCE's main concern is that the Oneida Nation pays taxes, they also had a concern when the smoking ban went into affect in NY that people were smoking in the Turning Stone casino too (its like having a watch dog that you don't want). The Dog watches you and if he doesn't like what your doing he crys to the goverment about everything and anything. Also think about all the people who do business with the Oneida Nation too (not just the casino but their gas stations, golf courses and everything else they own).

The only thing this will do is make the Oneida Nation and the State of NY sit down and see what can be worked out, hopefully. Seneca's and Mohawks did it but they pay the State of NY 30% of their slot takes.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what will happen next year with the new goverment we have in Albany. It should be interesting.
