That's right David, I have never been to a live auction where you can retract your bid after making the committment...Once you have raised your hand, THAT'S IT!!!Ebay should change this rule as it is too lenient and getting out of hand. I recently had a couple of auctions where bidders retracted in the final hour, after having their bids sitting there for 5 days....this type of activity really doesn't stimulate me to use the service as much as I would otherwise.

I am going to write eBay and post a message on their board. There must be many other sellers with like feelings....Ron
