Its been a week or so since my last post as I am trying to get over a nasty flu bug and not yet fully recovered. However after trying to catch up on the board I had a couple of comments on lots of different topics
1) Color Chip Posts - Great idea Dennis, I loved looking at all the chips (Especialls theh plaques from justin and Andy)
2) Being Part of a Click - I am part of a click and its a great one, its called the CC>CC. I have made literally hundereds of friends over the years who share the same interests and hope to add many more to my click over the coming years. I hope this bond with my "Click" lasts a lifetime
3) Posts from Non Members - While this is an open BB for anyone to post even if they are not a member, why do non members feel they have a need to post comments on Club Matters? In my opinion, if you decide not to renew ypour membership, I believe you lose any say in how the club should be run or of its policies. If they really wanted to change they should do something about it. It seems strange to me that some of the people most vocal about politics here on the board are from those who have decided they no longer wish to be part of our fine club or even try to sell thier membership online. If those people really cared what happened they would try to do something about it.
4) Who should play in the BCS Championship - Noi its not Texas (We proved that by losing to Kansas State). Obviously after last week the Rutgers vote is out. For once I think the polls have it right. Michigan lost only one game, to the best team in football and only by 3 points. Unless USC completly demolished ND and UCLA I think this was the rematch that should be. Imagine that, I actually agree with the BSC standings !!!!!!!
5) Joe P. and Jim F. - I honestly want to commend both of them for taking the step of actually running for office. I consider both of them my friends and wish them both the best of luck even though I might choose to vote a different way.
Take care all my chipping friends and have a safe and happy thanksgiving.
Your friend,
Doug LM-3209-147
