Hi John
You want to protect your Z chips with reserves and high minimums. If these chips are as good and scarce as you think ,they will bring a value that is what they are worth. If in your mind ,you think the chip is worth a greater
percentage than the rest of the high price chip buyers, your material is NOT
going to sell, regardless of your reserve or minimum. I think testing the waters on Ebay with outlandish reserves serves no purpose to both seller & buyer. If a
seller doesn't list his starting bid, I wouldn't waste my time following the progress of the auction. At that point its just a fishing expedition.
I personally think reserves have reached a level that people who need them are not willing to let the item reach its value level.
You & I have had numerous deals where we have reached agreement and both parties were happy. When you feel insecure about the possible outcome of an auction, you can't have your cake & eat it to. Put it up and what happens - happens. Espically in National Auction- Ebay something else as many of the
best buyers feel it is waste of time.
