Post Office in Ellisville, Mississippi. It was a slow day (just a line of 20 customers *LOL*), and a lady whose daughter was a check out clerk in a grocery store showed me a coin that had been received that week as a 1¢ coin. It was an Indian $5! I know that it's not nearly the same as someone comming across a 1913 V-nickel, but 'twas odd none-the-less.
In 1987, in Kaplan, Louisiana, I DID receive a V-nickel in change, but it was almost as slick as a baby's "bee-hind". Year of mintage? Quien sabe
