I'm not so sure the chips were ever used.
Anyone ever seen a worn one?
100 known yellow and 150 known red. Strange numbers, IMO.
Newport Stardust was open a very short time.
Moe Dalitz (The father of LV) and (The Godfather of Newport) had them drop the name "Stardust" so it could be used in LV. Notice the logo is the same on the LV and Newport chips.
Moe was given the job of getting the LV Stardust open after Tony Cornero died on the crap table at the DI.
Tony had way over sold shares in the LV Stardust to two different Mafia famlies, one being Cleveland Syndicate, (Moes company )
Tony did himself a favor by pitching forward dead on the crap table.
Danny Nason whos Father and Uncle were partners with Moe in The Arrowhead Inn in Cincinnati, was the pit boss in the crap pit the night Tony rolled the "BIG" seven and out.
Small world, isn't it.
