22 years ago I thought it would be fun to build a spook house for little kids. Nothing scary, but something fun.
I built a little 8' x 8' spookhouse that broke down into about 16 large pieces. Every night before Halloween we would take it to the Sonic and spend about 3 hours putting it together. Then we'd spend another couple hours adding the decorations. We'd blow up about 1,000 helium balloons and give them away along with candy and free cokes. We put about 1,000 people through it every year on Halloween night.
After 6 or 7 years I added on to it making it 8' x 12' and causing it to take at least another hour to put together. LOL Of course, after the day was over, we had to take it all apart and put it away until the next year.
In 1999 I finally had all I could stand of putting together that thing in all kinds of weather. Many times I went home with ice in my hair, or soaking wet from putting it together in the pouring rain.
I bought a trailer and decided to build a spook house on it that I wouldn't have to put together and take down every year.
For all of you that love Halloween as much as I do, here are a few pictures of what I built and of one of our Halloweens.
