Admissions Day and every State has their own. I like the expression "Battle Born" commonly meaning that Nevada was admitted to the Union during the Civil War.

Of course some believe it to mean Annexation Day, as the Territory's silver reserves (and to some extent gold reserves) could finance an Army!
