Google will not feed that image to any other domain. That is why no one can see it. You can see it because you have already seen it once and your browser has cached the image and just digs it out of the cache to show you.

If I copy the url, and type it into my browser, I can see the image also. Then, when I later go back to your post, I can see the image then because it is in my cache already.

I do something similar with the images in my file upload area. You can post them on my sites, but not any other site because they won't show up.
