I personally have never had any. they have a big shop over off Westhiemer and everyone I talk to has good things to say.

There are however plenty of good smokehouse and meat markets here in Texas. The Fulshire meat market is one of the oldest in Texas. My personal favorite Jerky place is Woodys Smokehouse in Centerville (halfway between Houston and Dallas). They Claim to be the Jerkey capitol of the world (A pretty big claim for a town with a population of 1200).

I also always stop for jerkey on the way to games in Austin at Buckys in Giddings (Another VERY small town). All these places have some of the best jerkey and sausage you can find. And a great variety too (Beef, Pork, Chicken, Buffalo, Elk, Emu, Venison).
