Hi, if I remember that canon camera is a 4mp camera. Takes a sd card. A 512mb card will give you around 390 pics...provided you use the superfine mode, which i suggest. I think that camera also has a Vivid setting.. I would also keep that on all the time. That camera cant take advantage of all the newer faster cards, like 40x, 80x,etc so dont let the salesman talk you into them. A 4,8,16x will do just fine. You'll get excellent 5x7s with that and with a little post processing nice 8x10s. Take a look at Google's Picasa...free download...very, very easy to use for beginners..ie easy one click post processing....One last thing, stick with either a Sandisk or Lexar card..other cards will work but should you "lose" the pics on the card, due to your fault, computer, etc..Lexar will retrive the pics free of charge for you..while others will charge 50.00+ and TRY to get them back. Your camera has great colors and sharpness, keep the white balance on auto, you'll be happy with the pics...
