I don't know anything about those chips, but I do understand someone not wanting to break up the set. If I had a set of 500 and someone wanted to by 4 chips, one of each color, some may think it's not worth the trouble to sell 4 chips.

If I decided to sell 50 chips in 5 different colors, I might only offer to sell 25 min per person. I don't want to mail 5 chips at a time unless they're worth a decent amount of money to make it worth the trouble.

Of course, I like to buy collectable chips and like to be able to by 1-5 chips. That way I don't have to buy a playable set each time...
